Long explanations and focused short videos
The Balbriggan Braces project covered a range of patient questions. The longer videos keep each subject together; the short edits give individual questions their own space.
Three speakers, distinct subjects
- James: five longer videos covering aligners, cleaning braces, wax and food, the orthodontic journey and retainers.
- Jenny: three longer videos about an expander, a face mask and a twin block.
- Rebecca: four longer videos covering dental implants, surgery, after-surgery information, and the implant crown and care.
The short collection focuses on narrower topics, including an aligner routine, orthodontic wax, retainer care, crossbite and implant parts. The clinical explanations come from the practice's speakers.

Making the explanations visible
The finished short videos combine the speakers with dental models, close-ups and on-screen graphics. In the aligner video, a timing graphic supports James's explanation. In the crossbite piece, a dental illustration sits alongside the demonstration.
This is the connection between a longer business explanation and a focused short edit: the subject stays clear, while the amount of detail changes with the format.
A collection the practice can find its way around
The twelve longer videos were delivered in named speaker folders. The shorts were kept together with descriptive filenames. The upload was checked against the final files before handover in October 2026.
