Event videography needs a price for the coverage and the finished edits. NextVision’s published filming rates are €250 + VAT for a half day and €450 + VAT for a full day. Editing is separate. These are filming rates, not all-inclusive prices for recording an entire event, multiple cameras or a highlight film.
Your event schedule, sound requirements and deliverable list determine the proposal. See the event videographer service in Dublin for relevant work, and the overall videographer pricing guide for the published NextVision options.
Decide whether you need a record or a story
A full speaker recording preserves what was said. A highlight film shows the atmosphere and selected moments. Short social edits give an organiser separate pieces to share afterwards. These deliverables can use related footage but require different coverage and editing.
Write the output list before requesting a price. If a keynote, audience reaction and a separate workshop happen at the same time, one camera operator cannot cover every angle at once. Share the timetable so coverage gaps can be identified before booking.
What changes an event production quote?
Coverage window: include setup access, sound checks and essential moments, not just the public opening time. Confirm the actual filming hours in writing; do not assume a “half day” covers every activity.
Rooms and crew: simultaneous sessions, separate interview spaces or multi-camera speaker coverage may need additional people and equipment. Those requirements are quoted for the event.
Sound: tell the videographer whether speeches must be recorded in full. Agree how the venue sound system, microphones and a backup recording will be checked. A soundtrack over a highlight film does not replace intelligible speech when the brief includes a talk.
Editing: list the length of the main film, social cuts, captions, speaker titles and screen formats. A conference archive and a concise promotional edit have different post-production requirements.
Deadline: separate a first highlight, the first review edit and final delivery. The dates and included revisions need to be agreed before the event.
The business video quote checklist provides a useful structure for comparing those details across suppliers.
A Dublin event example: Gut Fest
The Gut Fest event project combined several short videos with one longer film. Coverage included food, talks, practical activities and a closing yoga and dance sequence. The filming and edit had to connect those different parts of the day into one coherent story.
That is the practical budgeting lesson: plan the moments and the finished outputs together. The client’s fee is not published, and the case study does not establish a standard price for your event. The Pogány Induló concert film shows a different kind of live brief.
Plan what happens after the event
If you need clips for a campaign, book the short-form video edits within the production scope rather than expecting unlimited extra cuts afterwards. If the event supports a continuing content programme, consider monthly social media content for the surrounding announcements and follow-up material.
A planned interview with an organiser or customer may be better handled as a separate corporate video production session where sound and message can be controlled.
What to send when requesting an event quote
Send the date, venue, timetable, rooms in use, audience, key speakers and essential moments. Add any example you like and a list of final videos. Tell us about restricted areas, access arrangements and the person who can make decisions on the day.
NextVision covers Dublin and North Dublin, including Swords, Malahide and Balbriggan. A service-area page is not a claim of a staffed office at the venue. Travel, access and any additional crew are agreed in your quote.
